Cow Camp at T.L. Storer
Description: Cow Camp is coming to T.L. Storer this July. As we prepare the Thunderbird Pasture for rotational graze with cattle, we are making this exciting opportunity for all the Scouts. The program will run over four weekends, two for Scouts BSA age Scouts, and two weekends designed for family camping for Cub Scouts.
The weekend will be working fun. Scouts will have the opportunity to work with the cattle and the goats-working the fields, moving the animals, feeding for the animals, and learning where their food comes from. Scouts BSA will have the opportunity to earn Animal Science and Farm Mechanics merit badge
Scouts and families will be camping for the weekend. Meals will be served family style and dinner on Saturday night will be a chuckwagon dinner. Here Scouts will ahve the opportunity for branding, lassoing, and western style games.
