Thomas A. Kershaw Atrium & Scouting Heritage Display Dedication

Our Dedication of the Thomas A. Kershaw Atrium & Scouting Heritage Display took place on March 16 2017 at the Egan Center in Milton.

Kershaw Dedication and Reception Invitation

The Spirit of Adventure Council held a special dedication to recognize those in our community who have been committed to help our community make Scouting Thrive. The event was presented with the assistance of Boy Scouts from Troop 42 Quincy. Mike Wankum, meteorologist from WCVB channel 5 graciously spoke as our Master of Ceremonies. President Jack Klinck and Scouting Executive Chuck Eaton of the Spirit of Adventure Council presented a 'Scouting Thrives' update.

In our mission to "Preserve the Legacy. Build the Future." the council recognized Steven Barnes, Jay Cashman, Bruce Colvin, Paul Gilbert, Bernard R. Horn Jr. and Michael Jeans. Afterward, Marshall M. Sloane, board member of the Spirit of Adventure Council, presented our special dedication to Thomas A. Kershaw, who spoke about how he grew up with Scouting and how that always stayed with him. Representatives from the Massachusetts State Senate then presented Tom with a certificate of congratulations on his dedication and continued success.

Now, walking through the front doors of the Egan Center at New England Base Camp, one enters right into the Thomas A. Kershaw Atrium and Scouting Heritage Display.
